{"id":10,"date":"2011-07-06T04:03:51","date_gmt":"2011-07-06T03:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.timiacono.com\/?p=10"},"modified":"2019-06-16T16:05:34","modified_gmt":"2019-06-16T15:05:34","slug":"the-best-of-the-bozeman-police-reports-27","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timiacono.com\/index.php\/2011\/07\/06\/the-best-of-the-bozeman-police-reports-27\/","title":{"rendered":"The Best of the Bozeman Police Reports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Culled from the\u00a0Police Reports\u00a0page of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle come the best of the Bozeman police reports from the last week along with some items from the Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11\" src=\"http:\/\/www.timiacono.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/bozeman_daily_chronicle.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"282\" height=\"77\" \/><\/p>\n<p>More reports of late night drunks stumbling around town and ending up in all sorts of\u00a0 places they shouldn\u2019t be will probably be the norm for the rest of the summer since summers are short around here and people certainly won\u2019t be stumbling around at 2 AM in a few more months. Aggressive and odd door-to-door salesmen (in recent weeks, the two characteristics sometimes being combined) are an ongoing problem in the area (as is late-night public intoxication\/urination) and \u2026 yes \u2026 the peacocks are still in town.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Door-to-door vacuum salesmen were warned for being aggressive.<\/li>\n<li>During the night a drunken man stumbled into a stranger\u2019s house on Koch Street and fell asleep on the couch. The owners of the home found him snoring on the couch at 4:15 a.m. and called the police. Officers came to wake him up and the man went home.<\/li>\n<li>A customer at Yellowstone Gateway Sports in Four Corners pointed an unloaded handgun at an employee when he didn\u2019t get what he wanted in a pistol trade in. The complaint is under investigation.<\/li>\n<li>At 6:30 p.m. a man climbed a ladder to the roof of a home on Meagher Avenue, drank a beer, and then left.<\/li>\n<li>A quick-change artist was videotaped at Wal-Mart at 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A man called officers to notify them that he suspected the marijuana his friend sold him was \u201claced with something\u201d and that he had felt crazy ever since smoking it. He wanted to see a doctor.<\/li>\n<li>An intoxicated, disoriented man was on another person\u2019s front porch around midnight. He was found to have an active warrant. He was arrested and brought to the Gallatin County jail on a $280 bond.<\/li>\n<li>A caller stated that a strange male was going door to door asking people their opinions on tissue. Officers contacted the man who did not have copies of his license to go door to door selling vacuums.<\/li>\n<li>Four males were warned for not using crosswalks to cross Main Street at 1:45 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Officers stopped several men from fighting on Curtiss Street at 2 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>A tourist from the Boston area was warned for urinating on Babcock Street at 2 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>A man on Bronco Drive who had posted his own 5 mph sign for kids in the area threw something at a woman\u2019s car after he witnessed her going 20 mph, which is the actual posted speed limit. The woman called police to let them know about the man creating his own personal speed limit signs.<\/li>\n<li>A subject \u201cobserved preparing to urinate in public\u201d on East Main Street, \u201csaw and officer approaching and changed his mind.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Fish and Wildlife authorities detained two black bears, a sow and her cub, after the older bear was reported on a Sunburst Drive patio pounding on the wall of the house around 7:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>A man in boxers was seen at 11:30 p.m. climbing a tree southwest of Bozeman.<\/li>\n<li>A man was found sleeping behind a Dumpster on North 19th Avenue around 12:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Two peacocks were in a woman\u2019s yard around 1 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Several people reported a semitrailer truck on fire at 6:15 p.m. along U.S. Highway 191.
